The book compares the different classes of passenger and their accommodation on board.

The infamous iceberg collision is detailed and the rescue efforts are chronicled, highlighting the devastation of that fateful night in April 1912. The subsequent inquiries held on both sides of the Atlantic are investigated and the recommendations made at the time are examined.
